Greeting from Chairman of the Supreme Commercial Court of the Russian Federation

Dear colleagues, Commercial courts occupy a special place in the judicial system of modern Russia. Less than two decades after their establishment we can already state with confidence that it is impossible to imagine today's life of the Russian society without commercial courts. And the fact is that our courts go beyond examination of solely cases relating to economy, which is the most important branch of society's activities. The Russian commercial judicial system has other undisputable merits.

Commercial courts mean respect for the centuries-old traditions of the Russian economical justice and for the regular work aimed at modernization of law.

Commercial courts mean the highest degree of professionalism of judges: we employ only those, who have practically proven their high qualification both as judges and as experts in the area of economical disputes especially.

Commercial courts mean specialization of the panels of judges, which guarantees that each case will be considered by a judge, who has gained a thorough understanding of the respective branch of the law.

Commercial courts mean efficiency of the judicial work, transparency of the entire economy and maximum availability of information on its activities on a real-time basis.

Commercial courts mean application of breakthrough technologies in solving various tasks ranging from increasing efficiency and transparency of our work to provision of accessibility of justice.

We have the right to be proud of both what we have done and what lies ahead of us.

Russian commercial courts have a special mission: we administer justice in the society, where economic institutes and business ethics rules continue to develop, and commercial courts' contribution to this development is tremendous.

It depends on us, what the future of the Russian economy, and hence, of the whole country will be like.
